Wisewould Reserve is a quiet neighbourhood park on Wisewould Avenue in Seaford, with an open grassy field beside a fenced playground that locals use for off-leash exercise. It is rarely crowded, which makes it a calm option for dogs that prefer space over a busy crowd.

The rules. Dogs must be under immediate voice control in the off-leash area. They are not allowed inside the fenced children's playground, and must be on-leash within 10 metres of the barbecues, picnic areas or any organised sport. Carry and use waste bags; bins are provided.

What's there. An under-the-sea themed playground with a pirate ship, slides and a trampoline sits alongside the grass, with benches and picnic spots around it. There are no public toilets on site, so plan accordingly.

Getting there. Easy street parking is available on Wisewould Avenue and Carder Avenue, and the reserve is within walking distance of Seaford Railway Station on the Frankston line.

It is generally quiet, busiest around school pick-up and drop-off and on early weekend mornings. Come mid-morning on a weekday for the calmest run. Good for dogs that like room without the crowd.
