Isle of Serenity

Isle of Serenity is a group of self-contained Frankston holiday houses that welcome dogs, set up for families or larger groups travelling with a pet. Guests consistently point at two things: how close it is to the beach, and how much room there is for a big group.

Dogs at the houses

Dogs are allowed across the property's options, with any size generally permitted, up to two dogs. A fee of around AU$30 per pet per night applies, and cats usually aren't accepted. Because terms vary by house and over time, confirm the current fee and dog count with the host when you book. The booking spread covers a six-bedroom Dreamhouse, a four-bedroom Mainhouse and a two-bedroom Guesthouse, so you can size the stay to the group, and guests describe the houses as spacious, homey and clean with a friendly host.

Getting there

The houses are in Frankston on the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay, about an hour's drive from Melbourne down the M3 or a train ride on the Frankston line. The foreshore, shops and cafes are close by, and Frankston Reservoir in Frankston South offers gravel bushland tracks that make an easy on-lead morning walk.

While you're out there

One bay up at Seaford, Keast Park Off-Leash Dog Beach is the closest proper dog beach for a swim. Inland, Ballam Park Dog Off-Leash and Fenced Agility Park gives a secure run with agility gear. For coffee, Picoletta Cafe & Gelato is a Frankston stop that works with a dog outside.
