Picoletta Cafe & Gelato

Picoletta is a mobile cafe and gelateria parked at the Olivers Hill Boat Ramp on the Frankston foreshore. As an open-air food truck right on the coastal walking path, it's about as dog-friendly as a coffee stop gets.

The dog setup. It's all outdoors, so dogs are welcome in the grassy areas and on the concrete beside the truck and seating. There's no indoor space. The beach is right there for a water break, and puppaccinos are sometimes available, so ask at the truck.

Good to know. The draw is artisanal gelato and sorbet pops, plus coffee, toasties, pastries and smoothie bowls. It's a walk-up stop rather than a sit-down cafe, built around the foreshore setting.

Getting there. Find it at the Olivers Hill Boat Ramp, with ample free parking right at the ramp and easy access from the Frankston coastal path.

It runs daily from around midday until sunset, so it suits an afternoon or early-evening beach walk. The Olivers Hill lookout is a short walk up for bay views, and check foreshore signage for seasonal on-leash and off-leash times.
