Helmore Park

Helmore Park is a small neighbourhood green at 3A Samuel Court in Jacobs Well, near the corner of Helmore Road and Iluka Way, with a designated off-leash exercise area. City of Gold Coast rules keep dogs on lead in the rest of the park and away from the children's playground equipment.

The park

Concrete and asphalt paths run around flat, open turf that suits fetch and ball games. It is a local pocket rather than a long walk, and it does not draw big crowds.

Inside the off-leash area, dogs must still be under effective control.

Before you go

Bins are on site, but no dog water is listed, so bring a bottle and bowl. Parking is on the surrounding streets, with little off-street space.

For a fenced run, try Riesenweber Park Fenced Dog Park, then grab a coffee from The Little Brew Bus.

Shade is not a feature of this open green, so summer visits work best early or late. It suits a quick off-lead play for local dogs.
