Discovery Parks - Woodman Point

Discovery Parks - Woodman Point sits between Cockburn Road and the coast at Coogee, south of Fremantle, with Woodman Point Regional Park and the boat ramp country next door. It is the big caravan and cabin park for this corner of Perth, and it is properly set up for travelling dogs rather than just tolerating them.

The pet-friendly accommodation here is specific. Standard one-bedroom pet-friendly cabins come with a separate bedroom, lounge and kitchen plus a dedicated pet room with its own bed, so the dog sleeps indoors without wrecking the lounge. Pet-friendly caravan and tent sites are also available if you are towing or camping. Not every cabin or site takes pets, so book a pet option explicitly. Contact the park before booking if you have a large breed or more than one dog, as approval is at the park's discretion. Rules are the usual: leads in the park, clean up, never leave the dog unattended.

Worth knowing

Beach access here needs a map and a read of the signs, because the City of Cockburn rules are strict. Coogee Beach itself and the reserve along it prohibit dogs entirely, and so does the Woodman Point section around the Ammunition Jetty. The designated off-leash beach is Jervoise Bay Dog Beach on the southern side of Woodman Point, with calm shallow water, parking, toilets and showers, and dogs under effective control. Everywhere else in the council area, dogs stay on lead unless signage says otherwise.
