Woodies Boat Storage and Cafe

Woodies Boat Storage and Cafe is a no-fuss shed cafe beside the Woodman Point boat ramp at 37 Jervoise Bay Cove, Munster, where boaties and dog walkers duck in for coffee and a feed before or after the water. It is dog-friendly in the outdoor seating area and open every day.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the spacious outdoor seating, which is shaded by the shed roof, and water bowls are usually put out. Keep the lead on the whole time: the cafe sits on a busy access road next to the boat storage yard, so this is not a spot to let the leash go slack.

Max: Trailer traffic, trolleys and a boat ramp all funnel past the tables. A short lead and a dog that parks itself under the chair is the ticket here.

The vibe

Expect regulars who rate the coffee among the better cups in the area, simple food like fish and chips, brekky rolls and bacon and egg toasties, plus a bait, tackle and ice counter for the boat crowd. There is a drive-thru if you just need a takeaway without unloading the dog.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 37 Jervoise Bay Cove, Munster, with free and plentiful parking at the adjoining Woodman Point boat ramp car park, including room for trailers. It is an easy in-and-out stop off the Cockburn coast road.

While you're out there

The local off-leash win is Jervoise Bay dog beach, the designated dog beach on the southern side of Woodman Point with calm, shallow water and bag stations. Note the coastal strip around Ammunition Jetty is closed to dogs to protect nesting shorebirds, and the wider regional park paths are on-lead, so follow the City of Cockburn signage.
