Baltimore Reserve Fenced Dog Park on Oleander Drive in Parafield Gardens is one of Salisbury's better set up off-leash facilities, thanks to its split layout: two separately fenced zones, one for small dogs and one for large, so you can match the space to your dog's size and confidence. Around the fence line there is plenty more for the family, with a playground, basketball court and sports oval on the broader reserve.

The dog setup

Inside the enclosures the ground is grassed and gently undulating, with scattered trees for shade, bench seating, water stations and agility gear including wooden steps, jumps and pipe tunnels. City of Salisbury rules apply: dogs stay under effective voice command and visible to you at all times, you carry a lead, only socialised dogs come into the off-leash areas, and waste is cleaned up immediately into the bins provided. Toys and balls are discouraged because they can trigger resource-guarding between dogs, and children inside the park need close supervision. The double gates work only if you close them, every time.

Worth knowing

Because this is a dedicated fenced dog park, dogs can be off-leash there around the clock, unlike Salisbury's general ovals where off-leash is limited to evening and early morning hours. That 24-hour access makes it a useful option for shift workers and hot-day early birds. Weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds, so dogs that prefer calm should aim for weekday middays. Public toilets sit near the reserve, and access is wheelchair friendly.

Getting there and parking

The park is at 55 Oleander Drive, Parafield Gardens, with street parking on the surrounding roads including Olive Grove. Adelaide Metro buses service the area but leave a short walk from the nearest stop to the entrance, so most visitors drive.
