Fairbanks Drive Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Fairbanks Drive Reserve in Paralowie is a community reserve in Adelaide's north with a dedicated fenced dog park inside it, run by the City of Salisbury. The broader reserve carries playgrounds, courts and open grass, with the fenced enclosure set aside for off-leash play.

The dog setup

The dog park is fully fenced, so dogs can run free inside the enclosure without straying into the open reserve or the playground zone. Even off-leash, council guidelines expect effective control, meaning your dog stays in sight and answers commands.

Outside the fence the Salisbury time-share rules kick in: leads of up to two metres between 8am and 6:30pm, with off-leash allowed the rest of the night provided control is maintained. Waste bins are provided, and bagging up is non negotiable.

The vibe

This is a family reserve first and a dog park second, so expect kids at the playground and a mixed suburban crowd. The fence keeps the two worlds apart, which suits owners who would rather not negotiate recall near a flying fox.

Getting there

The reserve sits on Fairbanks Drive in Paralowie, off Waterloo Corner Road, with street parking along the reserve frontage. Salisbury city centre the Paralowie Village shops and Salisbury's main centres are all within a few minutes' drive, so the reserve works as a quick stop or a half day out.

Close by with the dogs

Kingswood Crescent Reserve Fenced Dog Park is the other Paralowie option, and Mawson Lakes Fenced Dog Park is a short drive south with a separate small dog yard.
