What visitors mention
Pooraka Triangle Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area on South Terrace within the Unity Park complex, in Adelaide's northern suburbs. It's well maintained, with open grass, shade trees and agility gear including a tunnel and slide, plus a separate section for small or timid dogs.
The rules. Dogs must be under effective control at all times: respond to voice commands, stay close, and stay visible to you. Supervise your dog and never leave them unattended. Clean up after them straight away, and make sure both gates are shut properly when you come and go. The City of Salisbury also advises against bringing toys or throwing balls, since they can spark conflict between dogs.
What's there. A dog drinking fountain, poo bag dispensers, shelters with seating and tables, and agility equipment for dogs that like a bit of a workout. Unity Park next door has a children's playground and a skatepark, plus walking paths around the wider reserve.
Getting there. The park sits on South Terrace, Pooraka, just off Main North Road, with easy on-site parking at Unity Park. Adelaide Metro buses run along Main North Road, a short walk from the entrance. The site is flat and manageable for prams or wheelchairs.

Nearby with the dogs. A handful of cafes along Main North Road offer outdoor seating, and some hotels and motels around Pooraka and neighbouring Mawson Lakes take pets, though it pays to confirm pet policy before booking.
Weekday evenings from 5 to 7pm and weekend mornings and afternoons are the busiest windows. For a calmer visit, aim for a weekday mid-morning or early afternoon, ideal if your dog is nervous around crowds. Summer sun heats the ground fast, so stick to early morning or evening visits to protect paws.
