Inside the park, dogs stay on a physical lead in all common areas, and reception, the amenities blocks, the camp kitchen and recreation areas are off limits. Pets cannot be left unattended in a cabin or on a site, and pet-friendly cabin guests should note dogs are not allowed on the beds.

The park

The setup is standard caravan park: a mix of cabins plus powered and unpowered sites, a camp kitchen, barbecue facilities and a bike track. Guests regularly mention clean cabins. The river frontage is the bonus; koalas are spotted along the Torrens corridor often enough that it counts as a genuine perk of the location.

On the Linear Park trail

The Torrens Linear Park path runs past the park and follows the river for tens of kilometres in both directions. The shared path itself is on-lead territory, with councils along the route generally mandating a lead of two metres or less, and it carries cyclists and runners as well as walkers, so keep your dog close. Check signage as you cross into different council areas, because adjacent reserves sometimes carry designated off-leash zones or times that the path itself does not.
