Mawson Lakes Small Dog Park

Set inside the Dry Creek Linear Park reserve on Park Way, this fenced yard is reserved for small breeds, and it takes the job seriously. Agility gear gives it a purpose beyond a flat oval, and a council trial now blocks out daily solo sessions for dogs that struggle with company.

Off-leash status and rules

The park is fully fenced with double-gate entry and runs off-leash all day. Since mid-2025 the City of Salisbury has run an individual use trial here: between 2pm and 6pm each day the yard is for single, exclusive use, aimed at reactive, anxious or recovering dogs, with no booking needed but a short visit if others are waiting. Outside those hours it is normal shared off-leash play. The size limit matters: this yard is for dogs roughly 35cm at the shoulder or under, so leave the big breeds for the general park next door. Supervise closely, shut the gate behind you, use the bins, and note that toys and balls are not allowed inside the fence.

What's in the yard

Tunnels and a slide, both scaled for small dogs, sit on a mix of grass and maintained surface, with shade, benches and a water station for owners. The surface holds water in winter, so expect mud after rain and bring a towel for the car.

Getting there and parking

The address is Park Way, Mawson Lakes, with a car park directly across the road. The linear park paths connect you to the wider trail network, and the Mawson Lakes interchange is an easy walk for anyone arriving by bus or train.

Close by with the dogs

The larger Mawson Lakes Fenced Dog Park sits along the same reserve for mixed-size households, and Pooraka Triangle Dog Park is a short drive away. Afterwards, both Relish on Main and Morning Light Cafe take dogs at their outdoor tables.
