Dunns Road Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Dunns Road Reserve is a large fenced dog park at the northern end of the reserve in Mount Martha, and the pick of the local parks if your dog likes to work. It is a roughly one-hectare flat grassy enclosure with a permanent agility course, open around the clock.

The rules. The park is fully fenced with double-gated entry, so it suits dogs still building recall. Dogs are off-leash inside the enclosure but must be under effective voice control, and on-lead in the surrounding non-fenced areas. Clean up using the provided bags and bins. It is open 24/7 but unlit, so it goes dark at night.

What is there. This is the well-equipped one: permanent agility gear including A-frames and jumps, a tap and water bowl, and bench seating for owners. There is on-site parking right by the entrance and public toilets nearby.

Getting there. Reached via Hearn Road off the Nepean Highway, with a dedicated car park beside the entrance. It is best accessed by car. At peak times, nearby residential streets take the overflow.

When to go. Busiest on weekday mornings and afternoons and weekend mornings. Mid-day through the week is the quietest, which suits shy dogs or anyone wanting space on the agility course.
