Mandogalup Fenced Dog Park

Mandogalup Fenced Dog Park is a public off-leash enclosure on Quartermaine Boulevard in Mandogalup, run by the City of Kwinana and open around the clock. It is a straightforward fenced paddock rather than a landscaped destination park, approved by the council in 2023 to give the growing suburb its own secure exercise space.

The dog setup

Entry runs through a double gate, so take the transition slowly and keep one gate closed before opening the other. Inside, standard off-leash etiquette applies: keep your dog under effective control, supervise the whole visit, and clean up immediately using the bag dispensers and bins provided. Drinking water is available for dogs and there is seating for owners. The council lists the space as a fenced dog exercise area, with dogs back on-leash everywhere outside the fence line, including the surrounding reserves.

Worth knowing

There is little to no shade and no night lighting, so this is a daytime park, best in the cooler hours. Some visitors have noted parts of the fencing sit lower than you would expect, so walk the boundary and give it a look before letting a strong jumper or climber off the lead. Open 24 hours, it is easy to get the paddock to yourself on an early morning; late afternoons and weekends are the busier windows.

Max: check the fence line yourself before you unclip the lead if your dog is a jumper. Some sections run lower than you would expect for a fenced park.

Getting there and parking

The park sits on Quartermaine Boulevard in Mandogalup, south of the Kwinana Freeway between Wandi and Wellard, with street parking along the boulevard. It is a car trip for most visitors, as Mandogalup has no train station; Kwinana station is the nearest rail option a few suburbs over.
