Baler Court Fenced Dog Park

Baler Court Fenced Dog Park is a purpose-built off-leash park in Hammond Park with separate fenced areas for small dogs and for all dogs, run by the City of Cockburn and open 24 hours. It is a solid, no-frills option for a proper off-leash run rather than a scenic destination.

The rules. Dogs must stay under your control at all times and any dog showing aggression should be removed straight away. Stick to the correct enclosure, small dog area or the all-dogs area, based on the signage. Pick up after your dog, bags and bins are provided on site.

What's there. Both enclosures are irrigated turf with full perimeter fencing and double-gated entries for safe entry and exit. There is water for dogs, waste bags and bins, and some limited seating, though shade is patchy so bring your own on a hot day.

Getting there. Baler Court runs off Frankland Avenue, close to Mandurah Road, with on-street parking on Baler Court itself. There's no train station nearby, the closest is Cockburn Central, so you'd need a bus or a car to reach it easily.

Early mornings and the 5 to 6pm window are the busiest, especially on weekends, so aim for a weekday midmorning if your dog is nervous around crowds. Good for a reliable off-leash stretch close to home rather than a big day out.
