Paul Conti Park is a fully fenced off-leash area on Ragnor Road in Hemmant, tucked next to a themed playground and scooter track that makes it an easy stop for the whole family, not just the dog. The high fencing means it suits dogs that bolt or aren't fully reliable off-leash yet.
The rules. Dogs need to be under effective control and responsive to a voice command even inside the fence. Bring your own bags as backup, though bins are provided. Registration and vaccination are the usual council expectations. Dogs showing aggression or excessive barking should be removed, standard for any shared enclosure.
What's there. Open green space for a proper run and ball throwing, shaded benches for owners, and doggy bags on site. There's no public toilet in the immediate playground area, so plan ahead if you're staying a while.
Getting there. The park sits close to a Gateway Motorway entrance, which makes it a handy stop if you're passing through rather than a destination in itself. It's also a short walk from Hemmant train station if you're travelling without a car. Free street parking is plentiful.

Nearby with the dogs. Elanora Park, Robinson Park and Kiawanah Park are other fenced dog areas in the same pocket of Brisbane's bayside, worth knowing if this one's busy. For coffee afterwards, Great Ape Espresso in Hemmant does outdoor seating for dogs, or head into Wynnum for more cafe choice.
Weekday afternoons and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds. A mid week morning or early afternoon visit gets you the space to yourselves.
