Xenia Park Fenced Dog Park

Xenia Park is a fenced off-leash dog park on Buckler Drive in Helensvale, set inside a wider community park with mature trees and a neighbourhood feel. It is a quiet, sociable local spot rather than a city-wide magnet, which is exactly what suits dogs who find the big parks a bit much.

The dog setup

The dog exercise area is fenced for secure off-leash play, with a bit of agility gear to keep working breeds busy and established trees throwing real shade across the yard. Everywhere else in the surrounding park, dogs stay on lead. Bag dispensers and bins are on site, though carrying your own spares is still good practice, and your dog should stay under voice control once unclipped.

Worth knowing

The grass holds up well overall, but the shaded, high-traffic corners wear down and turn to mud after rain. There are no public toilets or BBQs here, so plan around that for longer visits, and the quiet traffic means early morning and late afternoon are the best windows in the warmer months.

Pepsi: bring a towel if it has been raining. The shady corners hold the mud long after the open grass has dried out.

Getting there and parking

The dog park is at 906 Buckler Drive with easy parking near the entrance. Helensvale station, with trains and the G:link light rail, is the nearest transit hub, but you will likely drive the last stretch with a dog in tow.
