Coastal Runaway is a one-bedroom studio apartment on the canals at 76 Bayview Street, Runaway Bay, on the northern Gold Coast. It is fully self-contained and single level, with a canal deck and a shared pool, and it takes dogs outright rather than by exception, which makes it one of the more straightforward small-dog stays on the Broadwater.

Dogs at the apartment

Dogs are welcome to stay overnight in the studio, with a maximum of two pets per stay and a firm weight cap of 10kg per pet. An additional fee of about AU$20 per pet, per stay applies, and cats may be considered on request. It suits a couple travelling with one or two small dogs best. Larger dogs will not fit the weight limit, so look elsewhere if yours is over 10kg.

Getting there and parking

Runaway Bay sits about fifteen minutes' drive north of Southport on the Gold Coast's northern canals, with free onsite parking at the apartment. Bayview Street puts you within easy reach of the Runaway Bay off-leash park at Lions Park and the waterfront esplanades along the Broadwater.

Close by with the dogs
