Flagstone Regional Park

Flagstone Regional Park in Logan's south is a large family recreation reserve with a skate park, flying fox and water splash 'n' play area, open daily from 5am to 9pm. The drawcard for dog owners is two fully fenced off-leash enclosures, one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs, each with its own water features so dogs can cool off.

The dog setup

The two fenced enclosures are separated by dog size and include water features, open grass for running, shaded seating and walking paths. Dogs must be on-leash everywhere else in the wider park, and the children's splash 'n' play area is built for kids, not dogs, so keep yours inside the dog-designated zones.

Clean up after your dog and supervise at all times under Logan City Council's off-leash conditions. Dogs in heat and declared dangerous or restricted breeds are barred from off-leash areas, and owners are expected to keep effective control even inside the fenced runs.

The vibe

Because the dog enclosures sit inside a bigger family reserve, the atmosphere shifts with the school calendar: school holidays and hot afternoons fill the splash area and the car park, while weekday mornings can feel like a private run. The water features in each enclosure are the standout, giving dogs a proper cool-off that most suburban fenced parks cannot offer.

The water features draw heavy family crowds in hot weather, and weekends get busy across the whole reserve. Weekdays are quiet by comparison, with weekday mornings or evenings the calmest windows for a dog visit. Bring your own waste bags in case the dispensers run empty.

Max: keep an eye on the gate as you enter and leave the enclosures, and keep your lead clipped on until it is shut behind you. It only takes one open gate for things to go wrong.

The park sits at Flagstonian Drive, Flagstone, in the growth corridor south of Jimboomba. Free on-site parking is available, with access via the local arterial roads.
