Everleigh Dog Park sits inside the Everleigh Estate off Ivory Parkway, right by the Everleigh Sports Park AFL oval. It's a fenced, purpose-built off-leash park with separate zones for big and small dogs, and it's open 24 hours.

The rules. Dogs can run off-leash only inside the fenced zones, not in the wider estate. Owners need to stay with their dogs and supervise at all times. Pick up after your dog straight away, bins are provided. Close gates behind you so nothing slips out, and remove any dog showing aggression.

What's there. Separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, a water station, picnic shelters for owners, and decent lighting if you're visiting after dark.

Getting there. Drive in via Teviot Road onto Ivory Parkway. Park at the Everleigh Sports Park AFL oval carpark, there's plenty of space. Public transport options are limited out this way, so a car is the easiest bet.

Nearby with the dogs. The Eve Cafe and Bar at the Everleigh Sports Park clubhouse welcomes dogs and even runs a treat menu for pups alongside breakfast and lunch. It's an easy stop before or after a run around.

If your dog gets overwhelmed by bigger dogs, the small dog side is worth using even for a medium-sized pup, it's calmer and there's more room to breathe.

When to go. Weekday mornings before 8am and afternoons after 3pm get busy, as do weekend mornings. Mid-morning on weekdays, roughly 10am to 1pm, tends to be quieter with more space to let your dog properly stretch its legs.
