What visitors mention
Orange Mountain Estate Wines is a small family-run cellar door on Radnedge Lane at Borenore, in the Orange wine region. It is a genuinely dog-welcoming spot, and one of the few where dogs are generally allowed inside the cellar door as well as out, which sets it apart on a wet or cold day.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on a lead across the outdoor lawns with vineyard views, and are usually allowed inside the cellar door too. Water bowls are often out, but bring your own bowl and a few treats to keep your dog settled. Staff are noted for being welcoming to visitors with pets.
Known for. Cool-climate wines with viognier and shiraz-viognier as signatures, and a deep range of more than 20 wines, poured with personal, owner-led service. Tastings run mainly on weekends (around 9am to 5pm), so it is worth checking ahead or booking for a weekend slot.
Getting there. 10 Radnedge Lane, Borenore, a short drive from central Orange. Free on-site parking at the cellar door.
Nearby with the dogs. Mortimers Wines and Ross Hill Wines are both nearby and dog-friendly, easy to combine into a cellar-door loop.
Best on a weekend, and a solid wet-weather pick given the indoor access. Good for a calm dog that settles indoors and out.
