Hillside Harvest

Hillside Harvest is a family-run orchard and farm providore on The Escort Way between Orange and Molong, best known for pick-your-own cherries in season plus a farm café and produce store. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you around the orchard.

Dog access. Well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome in the orchard and outdoor picking areas. Dogs are not permitted inside the farm store or café, so plan on someone minding the lead outside while the other shops or orders coffee. Ground in the orchard is uneven, so watch paws as well as your own footing.

Known for. Pick-your-own cherries (roughly November-December, confirm dates each season) plus apples and pears later in the year. The store stocks local jams, honey and gifts, and the café does light lunches and coffee. Picked fruit is paid for by the kilogram, and buckets are provided.

Getting there. On The Escort Way between Orange and Molong, with a large gravel and grass car park on site. It gets busy on weekends during cherry season, so an early start helps with both parking and picking.

Nearby with the dogs. Several Borenore and Orange district wineries welcome dogs, including Small Acres Cyder and Orange Mountain Estate nearby, though it is worth calling ahead to confirm current rules before you go.
