Jadran Wines

Jadran Wines is a family-run winery at 87 Reservoir Road, Orange Grove, established in 1929. For dog owners, the defining reason to visit is the dedicated dog-friendly section added in July 2025, giving you a shaded, purpose-built spot to settle in with your dog while you work through a generous tasting.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in a designated outdoor section fitted with picnic tables and shade. They are not permitted inside the main tasting room or at the bar, so plan for an outdoor visit. Dogs must remain on-leash at all times and be supervised. Waste stations are provided on-site, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Water stations are available for pets, with disposable bowls supplied. Excessive barking and aggressive behaviour are not allowed. One real caution: neighbouring horses and riders pass near the property, so keep your dog close and under control.

Known for. Jadran has built its name over nearly a century on affordable, award-winning fortified wines, including green ginger wine, blackberry nip, liqueurs and muscat. There are over 30 varieties of wines, fortifieds and liqueurs to try, and the cellar master runs generous free tastings. The atmosphere is rustic and relaxed, with live music on some weekends drawing larger crowds.

Getting there. The winery sits just off Tonkin Highway at 87 Reservoir Road, Orange Grove WA 6109. Parking is free and ample on-site.

Nearby with the dogs. To extend the day, head to John Dunn Memorial Park Fenced Dog Park in Kelmscott for a proper off-leash run. For a dog-friendly meal nearby, Dôme Café - Kelmscott and Avocados Bar & Café are both solid Kelmscott options.

When to go. Jadran suits owners after a low-key picnic-style outing with a well-behaved dog. Keep your dog leashed, stay within the designated section, and expect to handle your tasting outdoors. Weekends with live music can be busy, so aim for a quieter weekday visit if your dog prefers a calmer setting.
