Evandale Parklands

Evandale Parklands wraps around HOTA, Home of the Arts, on Bundall Road, with the Nerang River alongside and the high-rise skyline across the water. Dogs can walk the paths on a lead, but a couple of spots are off limits.

Lead rules

City of Gold Coast keeps the parklands on-lead only, with no off-leash area. Dogs are not allowed in the Evandale Lake swimming enclosure or the playground.

The walk

Wide, flat concrete paths connect around the precinct, easy for walking or a gentle jog. Mature trees, shaded seating and covered structures break up the sun.

Drinking fountains with low bowls sit at intervals, and bins line the paved circuits.

Getting started

Parking, including accessible bays, is near the main entrance off Bundall Road and beside the HOTA venue. Weekend community events bring extra people.

Make a day of it

Pete's On Upton and Espresso Bar Bundall are both close by for a coffee after the loop.

Flat paths with water on the way make it a good pick for older dogs, as long as they are relaxed around crowds.
