Club Wyndham's apartment resort on the Gold Coast, at number 3018 on the main beachfront boulevard, sits in the middle of Australia's busiest holiday strip, with ocean and hinterland views, a pool and barbecue area, and the G:link tram at the door. It takes dogs, but on the narrowest terms of any high-rise here: a single designated apartment under the Dogs on Holidays program.

Dogs at the resort

One apartment in the whole resort is set up for dog-friendly stays, with a strict 12kg weight limit. The fee is AU$30 per night, with a minimum of AU$90 charged for one or two-night stays, and dogs must be up to date with flea and worm treatment before arrival. Because it is a single unit, it books out well ahead and cannot reliably be secured through standard online channels; contact the resort directly to confirm the dog-friendly apartment is free for your dates and ask what the arrangement covers, including whether the dog can be left in the apartment at all.

The vibe

Self-catering apartment living rather than hotel service: balconies with ocean or hinterland outlooks, separate living space, and laundry facilities that suit longer stays. The location puts Cavill Mall, the beach and the esplanade within a short walk, with the tram covering everything north and south.

Getting there and parking

The resort fronts the boulevard in the heart of the strip, about 30 minutes from Gold Coast Airport. Secure on-site parking is available, and the G:link light rail stops nearby for car-free trips along the coast.

Close by with the dogs

For off-lead time, Hedges Avenue Off-Leash Dog Park at Broadbeach is a short tram ride south, and the esplanade paths along the beachfront are an easy on-lead walk from the door.
