The Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour by IHG is one of the few full-service Sydney hotels with a proper dog programme: a bookable Pet Friendly Package, in-room dog gear, and a weight limit of 20 kilograms, in a location where you can walk the harbour foreshore with the dog straight out of the lobby. It suits owners of small to medium dogs who want a central, transport-connected base rather than an apartment on the city fringe.

Dogs at the hotel

One dog per room is allowed, dogs only, with a maximum weight of 20kg, and service animals are exempt from fees. You generally need to book the dedicated Pet Friendly Package rather than a standard room. The package includes a plush dog bed, food and water bowls and training pads, with a loan leash available on request, and the hotel runs a curated pet menu with brands such as Bonza Dog Treats, DOG by Dr Lisa and Bondi Wash. A nightly pet fee applies, and listings have quoted both $50 and $100 for it, so confirm the current rate when you book. Dogs cannot be left unattended in the room unless crated, and you handle toilet breaks and cleanup outside.
