Presidents Park Fenced Dog Park

The fenced dog park inside Presidents Park Reserve on Greaves Street North gives dogs a secured, roughly 100m by 50m grass run with double-gated entry, set about 50 metres east of the playground and skate park. A direct link runs to the open off-leash area beyond the fence, so a secure warm-up can turn into a proper run.

The dog setup

Inside the fence, dogs run off-leash, but leads go back on for entering and exiting, and dogs must be recalled around other arrivals. Wyndham City Council requires registration tags visible on the collar or leash and a lead carried at all times. The Werribee River bank alongside the park is not part of the off-leash zone: on-lead there, and no entering the river.

What is there

Water taps and bowls, a couple of mature trees for patchy shade, seating in the middle of the run and waste bins at the entrance. The wider reserve adds a playground, skate park and toilets near the play area, so it doubles as a family stop. The grass can hold mud after rain.

Max: check the fence line before you unclip, and keep half an eye out for snakes in the long grass along the river side in warmer months.

The address is 289 Greaves Street North, Wyndham Vale, with free on-site parking near the facilities and local buses along Greaves Street. Werribee Station is the nearest train access, a drive or bus ride away.
