Cosmopolitan Drive Dog Park

Cosmopolitan Drive Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area inside the 10-hectare Cosmopolitan Drive Park on the Jubilee Estate in Wyndham Vale, with a double-gated entry that makes it a dependable choice for dogs prone to bolting. Around it sits a full district park with a playground, BBQs and a basketball court, so it works as a combined family-and-dog outing.

The dog setup

The fence is the headline: secure perimeter, double gate at the entry, plus shaded seating for owners and water stations for dogs. The leash rules are the standard Wyndham ones everywhere outside the fence, so lead up in the car park and the surrounding park areas and keep a lead handy inside in case you need an urgent recall. Dogs need current council registration, ideally with a visible tag, and you are expected to carry bags, clean up immediately and keep your dog from harassing wildlife in the adjacent open space.

Max: use the double gate properly. Latch the first gate before the second opens, especially with a keen dog on the other end of the lead.

Worth knowing

Weekday mid-morning to early afternoon is the quiet window if your dog is nervous around crowds. Weekends and the after-school, after-work stretch from about 4:30pm to 6pm are the busy periods. The shaded picnic areas are handy if the weather turns.

Getting there

The address is 30 Cosmopolitan Drive, Wyndham Vale, with free street parking nearby that can fill on weekends. Wyndham Vale Station on the Geelong line is the closest rail, about a 20 to 25 minute walk through Jubilee Estate, and bus route 191 runs toward Manor Lakes.

Close by with the dogs

Presidents Park Fenced Dog Park is the other big secure run in Wyndham Vale, and Manor Lakes Dog Park is close to the south. GOOD MANORS in Manor Lakes is a nearby cafe stop, and Newhaven Fenced Dog Park covers the Tarneit side if you are coming from the north.
