Levittown Rise Dog Park

Levittown Rise Dog Park is a fully fenced, purpose-built off-leash park in Werribee that opened in late 2023, and the reason to choose it over the older reserves nearby is the double-gated, split-zone layout that keeps small and big dogs apart.

The rules. Keep your dog leashed until you are through the double gates, then off-leash play is fine inside the enclosure under effective voice control. Carry the lead at all times. Declared dangerous or restricted-breed dogs and dogs in heat are not permitted in the off-leash zones. Pick up after your dog; bins and bag dispensers sit around the perimeter.

What's there. Two separately fenced runs, one for small dogs and one for larger breeds, each ringed by 1.2-metre fencing. There are plumbed dog drinking fountains with low bowls, shaded seating, some basic agility equipment, and open lawn with circuit paths for walking laps.

Getting there. The park is at 2 Levittown Rise, with unrestricted street parking right along the road by the entries. By train, the Werribee line to Hoppers Crossing plus a connecting local bus gets you close, but driving is far simpler.

When to go. Busiest on weekday late afternoons after 3:30pm and on weekend mornings. For a quieter run, aim for mid-morning on a weekday. The central lawn turns muddy after rain, so keep a towel in the car.
