Levittown Rise Dog Park

Levittown Rise Dog Park is a fully fenced, purpose-built off-leash park at 2 Levittown Rise in Werribee that opened in late 2023. The reason to pick it over the older reserves nearby is the double-gated, split-zone layout that keeps small and big dogs apart.

The rules

Keep your dog leashed until you are through the double gates, then off-leash play is fine inside the enclosure under effective voice control, with the lead carried at all times. You stay in the park with your dog the whole visit.

Female dogs in heat, declared dangerous or restricted-breed dogs, and puppies not yet fully vaccinated are not permitted in the off-leash zones. Pick up after your dog immediately; bins and bag dispensers sit around the perimeter.

What is there

Two separately fenced runs, one for small or quiet dogs and one for larger breeds, each ringed by roughly 1.2 metre fencing with secure double-gate airlock entries. Plumbed dog drinking fountains with low bowls, seating and basic agility obstacles round out the facility.

Open lawn with circuit paths suits ball throwers and walking laps alike. It is a purpose-built layout rather than a corner of a shared reserve, which is the whole appeal.

Max: the two zones only work if you use the right gate. Small or nervous dog? Go through to the small-dog side rather than risk the big runners in the main enclosure.

Getting there

The park sits at 2 Levittown Rise with unrestricted street parking along the road by the entries. By public transport it is the Werribee line to Hoppers Crossing plus a connecting local bus, but driving is far simpler.

Close by with the dogs

The Presidents Park fenced dog park in Wyndham Vale is the other premier fenced run in the west, and the Campbells Cove Beach dog off leash area in Werribee South adds sand and water. For a coffee after, Chatterbox Cafe is the local stop.

When to go

Busiest windows are weekday late afternoons after 3:30pm and weekend mornings. Mid-morning on a weekday stays quieter for training runs, and the central lawn turns muddy after rain, so keep a towel in the car.
