What visitors mention
What it is. Cambridge Reserve is a modern, purpose-built fenced dog park in Hoppers Crossing, opened by Wyndham City Council in July 2025. It pairs a large open lawn for free running with a dedicated activity zone, which makes it one of the better off-leash options in the area for dogs who want room to move.
The rules. Dogs are off-leash inside the secure fenced area and must be on-leash in the wider reserve. The enclosure has double-gate fencing to stop bolters. Keep your dog supervised and under control, clean up after them (bags and bins are provided), and discourage digging along the fence line.
What's there. Inside the fence you get a big lawn plus agility equipment in the activity zone. There is a dog water fountain, bench seating for owners, and dog-bag dispensers. Perimeter tree planting is in for shade, though it is young and will take time to fill out. Public toilets are available in the Cambridge Tennis Club pavilion during daylight hours, near the car park.
Getting there. The reserve sits between Barber Drive and Westmill Drive, Hoppers Crossing. Car parking is near the tennis club pavilion, and a concrete path network links the dog area to the surrounding paths. It is an easy walk for residents in the immediate Cambridge pocket.

When to go. Weekday mornings and mid-afternoon are the calmest. Evenings and weekends draw the local crowd, so if your dog is nervous, skip Saturday morning and use the open lawn when the agility corner is packed.
