Camelot Park Dog Off Leash Area

Camelot Park Dog Off Leash Area is a fully fenced neighbourhood dog park on Camelot Drive in Tarneit, delivered as part of Wyndham City's park revitalisation program. It is a compact, well-kept local facility: dual-gated entry, open running space, a separate zone for smaller or shyer dogs and an agility-style obstacle course for the restless ones.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on-lead on the approach and come off only once you are through the double gates. Keep your dog in sight and under voice control, especially while new dogs are arriving, and carry bags; bins and dispensers are on site. Wyndham requires dogs to wear a current registration tag on their collar, and chasing wildlife is off the table. Water fountains with a dog bowl attachment handle hydration, and benches line the fence for the humans. Shade is limited, so in summer aim early or late.

The vibe

A community park for locals rather than a destination: weekday late afternoons and weekend mornings draw the regular crowd, while weekday late mornings and early-week afternoons are quieter if your dog needs space to settle. The double-gate entry does its job well as long as everyone uses it properly.

Max: let your dog settle in the first gate before you open the second. It matters most when there are already a few dogs loose in the park.

Getting there and parking

The park sits inside a residential estate off Camelot Drive with street parking nearby. Tarneit railway station is the closest train hub but not walkable from the platform; a bus in the 167/182 range or a short drive covers the gap.

Close by with the dogs

Newhaven Fenced Dog Park is Tarneit's other fenced option, and Vibrandia Way Fenced Dog Park in Truganina is a popular, social fenced park just east. For brunch afterwards, Wolf on Watton in Werribee has a covered dog-friendly courtyard.
