Williams Landing Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Williams Landing Reserve Fenced Dog Park is a fully enclosed off-leash park inside the Williams Landing Boulevard Reserve, entered off Chessington Drive. Its zoned layout is the draw: a large open lawn for confident social dogs, a dedicated activity space, and a separate quiet section for small, older or anxious dogs, so a session here does not have to mean one open pack.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on-lead until through the gates and inside the designated off-leash zones, then run under effective voice and hand-signal control with owners close enough to see and hear them. Wyndham City Council's etiquette applies: recall and leash your dog when others are entering or moving through, dogs must wear a current registration tag, and chasing wildlife is out. The surface is mainly grass and holds up well for a suburban reserve, with light agility structures for training play, a shared drinking fountain with dog bowls, bag dispensers, bins and seating.

Max: work the gates properly. The transition space between the car park side and the off-leash lawn is exactly where excited dogs meet on-lead dogs, and that is the friction point here.

Getting there and parking

The direct entry is off Williams Landing Boulevard via Chessington Drive, with street parking and wheelchair-accessible spaces nearby. Williams Landing station on the Werribee line is a short walk away, which is unusual for a suburban fenced dog park and makes a car-free visit realistic. Paved paths connect into the neighbourhood trail network.

Worth knowing

The wider reserve has a playground, half-basketball court, tennis courts and sports fields, so the dog park sits inside a genuinely busy community precinct on weekends. Keep dogs clear of the playground edges as you arrive.
