Hermann Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

Hermann Reserve off Hermann Court is a small, leafy local off-leash spot in Templestowe, with open grass and mature trees. It is a neighbourhood reserve rather than a destination park, best suited to a quick run and some social play with the local regulars.

The rules. Dogs are off-leash in the designated area but must stay on-leash within 15 metres of any playground or BBQ area, and when an organised sporting event is on. The reserve is not fully fenced, so keep a lead on hand and your dog under voice control. Pick up after them. Confirm the current boundaries on Manningham Council signage on arrival.

What's there. Mature trees for shade, bench seating, and council waste-bag dispensers. Parking is street-side only on the surrounding residential streets.

Getting there. Access is via local Templestowe streets with on-street parking around Hermann Court. The nearest bus access is along nearby main roads, leaving a short walk.

When to go. Weekday mid-mornings and early afternoons are quiet. Weekday evenings from about 5pm and weekends are the social peak, better for confident dogs than nervous ones.
