Victoria Park Fenced Dog Park(Spring Hill)

Victoria Park Fenced Dog Park sits at 400 Gregory Terrace in Spring Hill, tucked behind Centenary Pool on the edge of the Victoria Park (Barrambin) parkland. It is the inner north's most convenient fully fenced off-leash run: open around the clock, minutes from the CBD, with separate yards for big and small dogs.

The dog setup

There are two fenced areas, a main yard plus a smaller one for little dogs, with agility equipment including ramps, drinking taps with bowls, shaded benches under mature trees and bins throughout. The ground slopes in parts, which adds a bit of work to a game of fetch but keeps things interesting, and lighting makes early starts and after-work visits workable.

Max: throw the ball across the slope rather than down it. A long roll downhill sends every dog in the yard charging for the bottom fence at once.

Worth knowing

Off-leash applies inside the fence only. Dogs must stay on lead everywhere else in the surrounding Brisbane City Council parkland, including the walk from the car park. Standard council conditions apply: keep your dog in sight and under effective voice control, remove any dog showing aggression, and pick up, with bags and bins provided. The small-dog yard is there for a reason, so keep large dogs on their own side.

Getting there and parking

A free dedicated car park sits right beside the park off Gregory Terrace, but it fills fast on Saturday mornings, so street parking on Gregory Terrace is the fallback. Buses run along Gregory Terrace, and the dog park connects to the wider Victoria Park path network if you want a longer on-lead walk before or after the fenced session.

While you're out there

Knowhere Brisbane on Boundary Street takes dogs at its footpath tables if you have earned a steak, and Plant Room Cafe covers the coffee end of the scale. Staying over, The Inchcolm by Ode Hotels and Punthill Spring Hill are both pet-friendly and within walking distance.
