Towerhill Drive Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

Towerhill Drive Reserve, off Berkley Road in Ringwood, is an open grassy oval set in a quiet residential pocket. It is an unfenced off-leash space that suits active dogs, ball games, and a quick stretch of the legs.

The rules. Dogs are off-leash within the designated reserve, but go back on lead on the shared paths, within 15 metres of playgrounds or barbecue and picnic areas, and during organised sport or training. Greyhounds must stay on lead in public spaces. There is no perimeter fence, so reliable voice control matters. Clean up after your dog.

What's there. A large grassy oval with paved paths around it and some bench seating. Lighting is limited, so daylight visits are best. There is no on-site water, so bring your own bowl and a ball.

Getting there. Reached via Maroondah Highway and Reilly Street, turning onto Berkley Road, with street parking on the surrounding streets. Ringwood Station is the nearest, a short bus trip or a 20 to 30 minute walk away.

Generally only a little busy, mostly on weekends. Sunday mornings and evenings and Thursday and Friday nights are the peaks, while Saturday afternoons tend to be quietest.
