Lot 7 Espresso Bar

Lot 7 Espresso Bar is a small, well-loved cafe near the Mt Dandenong Road end of Ringwood, close to the Ringwood East boundary, with a near-perfect local review record built on specialty coffee, generous breakfasts, and genuinely friendly owners. It is a women-run, licensed venue that turns into a small events space some Friday evenings with live music, drinks, and casual bites, but by day it is a relaxed pavement-table cafe where dogs are welcome and regulars are remembered.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor footpath seating, which has enough room for a dog to settle while you watch the street. Staff are happy to have well-behaved dogs along, and the morning trade is dog-tolerant by habit. No water bowl service is confirmed, so bring your own. Dogs stay outside the indoor space. Saturdays start at 8am, and weekdays open early at 6:30am, so a pre-work coffee with the dog is entirely doable.

The vibe

Intimate and local, with the coffee drawing the strongest praise, plus a taro latte and an egg and bacon pie with their own followings. The menu covers breakfast through lunch with wraps and sandwiches, and there is a serious vegetarian and vegan spread. Note the trading week: Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3pm, Saturday 8am to 2pm, closed Sundays. Monthly Friday night music sessions give the room a second personality, though those are best left to the humans.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking sits out front and in the nearby residential streets, and Ringwood East station is close by. Jubilee Park, with its open space and off-leash areas, is a short hop away for a proper dog run, and Ringwood Lake Park suits a gentler post-coffee stroll around the water.
