Shorehaven Park is a designated off-leash dog exercise area on the bank of Weyba Creek, tucked into the Noosa Waters estate at the end of Shorehaven Drive. It is the quieter, more suburban alternative to Noosa's main dog beach, with open grass running down to a shallow, sandy, tidal shore that dogs can paddle in.
The rules. Dogs are off-leash within the marked area but must stay under effective voice control at all times. Leash up the moment you enter or leave, and through the surrounding residential streets. Keep dogs off any children's playground and away from picnic and barbecue areas. Dogs must be registered with Noosa Council and wearing a tag, and cleaning up after your dog is mandatory.
The water. The creek shore is tidal, so the experience changes with the clock. High tide gives you water for paddling close to the grass; low tide opens up more sand for walking. It is calm, shallow water rather than surf, which suits dogs who like a wade more than a swim.
What's there. A large maintained grass area, bins on-site, and street parking along Shorehaven Drive. The area is not fenced and sits right on the water, so keep a close eye on dogs near the creek.
Getting there. It is at the end of Shorehaven Drive inside Noosa Waters, with on-street parking the only option. TransLink buses run through Noosaville, but a car is the practical way in. The dog-friendly cafe strip along Gympie Terrace is a short drive away if you want to make a morning of it.

Early mornings and late afternoons bring the locals and their dogs. For a quieter run, aim for mid-morning or early afternoon on a weekday, and time a visit around mid-to-high tide if your dog wants a paddle.
