Sardo Noosa

Sardo Noosa is a small Sardinian restaurant on the Noosaville riverfront strip, on Gympie Terrace at the Thomas Street corner. It runs a compact, intimate dining room behind a row of pavement tables, with a menu built on handmade pasta, risotto and antipasti and a short, deliberately Italian wine list. It is listed among pet friendly restaurants in the area, and the outdoor tables are where dogs fit.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the front pavement seating along Gympie Terrace, on a lead, with the river visible across the road. The indoor room stays people only, in line with the usual Queensland rules for outdoor dining with pets. Staff are generally happy to have a settled dog at the footpath tables, but carry your own water bowl rather than counting on one appearing. The footpath strip is a busy walking route, so a dog that parks itself close to the table works best.

The vibe

This is a sit down dinner venue rather than a quick stop. The kitchen leans into genuine Sardinian cooking, and the room is cosy enough that peak sittings feel full. Live music nights add to the reason to book ahead. Expect a relaxed, unhurried meal with the dog dozing at your feet.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Gympie Terrace, but the strip fills hard on summer evenings, so the side streets back toward Eumundi Road and Weyba Road are often the easier bet. The restaurant also sits right on the riverfront walking path, so it is an easy arrival on foot if you are staying in Noosaville.

Close by with the dogs

The paved walkway across the road makes a good before or after dinner stroll, and the off leash sand at Noosa Heads Doggy Beach on the Noosa Spit is only a few minutes drive away.
