Sweet Story Noosa

Sweet Story Noosa is a patisserie and dessert cafe at Shop 23a in the Noosa Village Shopping Centre on Mary Street, Noosaville. Everything sweet is baked on-site, the coffee is Padre, and the outdoor tables at the entrance take dogs, which makes it a sweet-finish stop on a Noosa River day.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating near the entrance, on a lead, and the staff have a reputation for making a fuss of them. Water bowls are usually on hand, and in summer the kitchen has been known to send out doggy icy-poles. Carry a travel bowl as backup for busier services.

Worth knowing

The draw is the cabinet: cakes, pastries, tarts, tiramisu, vanilla slice and almond biscuits, all made fresh in-house, with a solid run of vegan, plant-based and gluten-free options so nobody at the table misses out. Toasties and quiche cover the savoury side. Hours run 7am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, with a shorter 8am to 1pm window on Sunday, so late-afternoon plans need to be Saturday-shaped. Noosa Council keeps the Gympie Terrace foreshore and river walk strictly on-leash, which suits a cafe stop with the dog settled beside you.

Getting there and parking

The Noosa Village Shopping Centre has ample free parking, including accessible spots, with flat access from the car park to the cafe's outdoor tables.

Close by with the dogs

The Noosa River foreshore at Gympie Terrace is the natural lead walk either side of a cake stop. For off-lead time, Weyba Creek Park and Shorehaven Park are the local off-leash options, both minutes away by car.
