Grind Cafe

Grind Cafe sits on the Gympie Terrace strip at Noosaville, looking across to the Noosa River, and trades from 6am to 1pm every day for the breakfast and brunch crowd. The riverside footpath and outdoor tables are where dogs are welcome, which makes it a natural stop on the river walk.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the footpath and outdoor tables, not inside the dining room, which is the standard Queensland food-premises rule. Keep your dog leashed and settled on the outside edge of the seating. Staff on this strip are used to dog walkers and will often bring a water bowl, but the safest bet is to carry your own portable bowl, especially in summer.

Worth knowing

The kitchen does a classic Australian brunch list: eggs benedict with a gluten-free option, tomato bruschetta, waffles and an açai bowl that regulars chase, with generous servings the running theme. Coffee is well rated locally. Weekends between 8am and 11am are the peak; a weekday morning is the calmer version of the same view.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at Shop 1, 255 Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, on the riverfront strip. Street parking runs along Gympie Terrace and the parallel back streets, and it fills early on summer weekends. The foreshore path out front is flat and easy for dogs of any age.

Close by with the dogs

The Shorehaven Park off-leash area covers the off-lead run nearby, and Double Shot Noosa and First Batch Coffee Roasters keep a second and third coffee stop within a short walk of the strip.
