The Civic Social

The Civic Social is a family-run brunch cafe at Shop 1040, 28 Eenie Creek Road, inside the Noosa Civic Shopping Centre in Noosaville, from the team behind The Coolum Social. It pours Gabriel Coffee and runs an all-day brunch menu, and dogs are welcome in the open alfresco breezeways, which makes it a handy errand-day stop with the dog in tow.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor and alfresco tables in the centre's open, airy breezeways, with room to settle your dog beside your chair. Staff are pet-friendly and typically bring out water bowls, though carrying your own is wise. Keep your dog leashed on the walk through the centre's pedestrian paths to the dining area, and be aware there is a children's play area nearby, so a settled dog suits this stop best.

The menu

The brunch menu leans modern and generous: corn fritters, avocado toast, a breakfast burrito, a vego bowl and fish tacos, built on local Sunshine Coast produce. Coffee is the other draw, with well-made espresso and milkshakes and chocolate drinks that keep families coming back. Opening runs daily from 7am, with the kitchen winding up in the afternoon, so check the centre's listing for the current close time.

Getting there and parking

Parking is the easy part: more than 1,400 free single-level car parks across the Noosa Civic precinct, with flat, step-free access to the cafe, which also suits older dogs.

Close by with the dogs

The Noosa River foreshore along Gympie Terrace is about five minutes away for an on-leash riverside walk. For off-lead time, Shorehaven Park is the local off-leash option, and Weyba Creek Park sits by the creek foreshore.
