Cafe Latino

Cafe Latino is a Colombian food truck at 29 Rene Street in Noosaville, pouring specialty coffee and turning out handmade arepas and empanadas from an open-air setup. It runs weekday mornings into the early afternoon, from 6:30am to 1pm Monday to Thursday and 6:30am to 2pm on Fridays, closed weekends, so it is a breakfast and lunch stop rather than an evening one.

The dog setup

The whole operation is outdoors, which is what makes it easy with a dog: you walk up on the lead, order, and wait in the open paved area around the van. There is no dedicated dog water or formal seating, so bring a collapsible bowl and expect a quick stop rather than a long sit. The surrounding Rene Street pocket is quiet enough for a leg-stretch while you eat.

The vibe

The draw is the food: chorizo arepas, Colombian empanadas and a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, which is rare in a truck. Coffee holds its own too. Expect a working-morning crowd of locals grabbing orders rather than a brunch scene.

Getting there and parking

Rene Street sits in the industrial-commercial side of Noosaville, with free parking right at the truck and flat, easy access. It is a short drive off the main tourist drag, and an easy add-on to a river walk rather than a destination in itself.
