Swift Park Fenced Dog Park

Swift Park on Centurion Crescent is Nerang's complete dog park: a secure double-gated fenced enclosure with agility gear, a bigger unfenced off-leash run towards the Nerang River, and the river itself for dogs that swim. Add a shaded playground, toilets and BBQs and it works as a full family outing rather than just a dog stop.

The dog setup

Inside the fence there is agility equipment with hurdles and obstacles, water taps and bag dispensers, though carry your own bags as they can run dry on busy days. City of Gold Coast rules apply across the park: on-lead until through the double gates, effective voice control at all times, registration tags on collars, a supervising adult in control, and dogs kept clear of the playground and BBQ areas. The unfenced river sections give more room but nothing to stop a wanderer, so shaky recall means staying inside the fence. Check the bank and current before letting an eager swimmer into the Nerang River.

A well-kept community park backing onto the river, with sheltered picnic tables, outdoor fitness equipment and the flat Nerang Riverwalk running past for an on-lead warm-up. Getting there and parking

The park sits at 11 Centurion Crescent, behind the Bert Swift Centre and across from Nerang High School. Parking is on-site with accessible spaces. Translink buses stop on surrounding roads such as Ferry Parade, a short walk away.

Close by with the dogs

The Kamholtz Family fenced dog park is the other Nerang option if the enclosure here is full, and the Emerald Lakes circuit at Carrara suits a flat on-lead walk.
