Swift Park Fenced Dog Park

Swift Park is a dual off-leash setup on Centurion Crescent in Nerang: a secure fenced enclosure for contained play, plus a larger unfenced off-leash run stretching along the Nerang River. It is a well-kept community park, so you can pick the level of containment that suits your dog on the day.

The water. The park backs onto the Nerang River, so dogs can get to the water for a swim. Check the bank and current before letting a keen swimmer in, and rinse off afterwards.

Getting there. It sits on Centurion Crescent behind the Bert Swift Centre, across from Nerang High School. There are Translink bus stops on surrounding roads such as Ferry Parade, though it is a short walk from the stop. Dog-friendly cafes in the Nerang town centre along Ferry and Price Streets are close by.

When to go. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the quietest. It tends to fill on weekday afternoons, weekends, and reportedly Sunday nights, Monday afternoons and Friday nights. Sections get muddy after heavy rain, so time a visit for a drier stretch if your dog prefers clean feet.
