Logan Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Logan Reserve Fenced Dog Park on Riverview Road is a fully fenced, off-leash park with separate enclosures for small and large dogs, run under Logan City Council rules and open 24 hours. It is a quieter neighbourhood option with well-kept grass rather than a big destination park.

The dog setup

Dogs must be under effective control, which means they come back when called, and handlers stay inside the park with them. Council caps it at two dogs per handler, females on heat are not permitted, and children under 16 need adult supervision inside the fence. Leash up again before leaving the enclosure.

Both fenced sections have shade, owner seating, waste bag dispensers, bins and a water point, though the tap can sit outside the small-dog fence, so a portable bowl is a sensible backup.

Max: watch for cocklebur seeds in the grass edges, they catch in coats and paws, and check for ticks after a run through the longer grass near the fence line.

The vibe

Early mornings and late afternoons on weekdays are the quiet stretch, while weekends, especially mid-morning, fill up. Nervous or reactive dogs do better on a weekday visit than in the weekend rush.

Getting there and parking

Head in via Logan Reserve Road then turn onto Riverview Road, with kerbside parking on Riverview Road itself including wheelchair-accessible spaces nearby. There is no practical public transport this far into the estate, so driving is the way in.

Alexander Clark Park Fenced Dog Park at Loganholme is the bigger river-side option with agility equipment, and Bayes Park Fenced Dog Park is a second run within the same suburb. Park Lane Barista at Loganholme stocks dog treats and water bowls for the coffee stop.
