Belyando Park Fenced Dog Park

Belyando Park's fenced dog park sits in the Stockland Vale community of Holmview, on 1.4 hectares of grass split into separate zones for large and small dogs. It is a quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood park that doubles as a picnic stop, with a playground a few steps from the enclosures.

The dog setup

Leads stay on through the car park and the walk in, then come off inside the fenced zones. Owners keep dogs under voice control and stay present the whole time, and the small-dog yard is worth using if your dog is nervous around bigger, louder play. Both enclosures have water points, so bowls are easy to refill on the spot.

Outside the fence, dogs are on-leash across the rest of the park and surrounding streets. Shaded picnic tables and sandstone seating walls give owners a spot to settle, and the children's playground with its slides and carousel makes it a genuine family stop rather than a drop-and-wait. Declared dangerous or prohibited breeds are not permitted in Logan's off-leash areas, and the council asks owners to leash and leave if their dog turns pushy or stressed.

Worth knowing

Some visitors note the grass and benches are not always freshly maintained, so bring your own water as a backup and carry a spare waste bag even though bins are provided. The size split between the yards is by temperament rather than strict weight rules, so pick the yard that fits your dog's play style.

Getting there and parking

The park is at 21 Belyando Street, Holmview, with on-street parking along the street itself. Local bus routes service the Holmview area if you are coming without a car, followed by a short walk in. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the quiet stretches, with more dogs arriving mid-afternoon and on weekend mornings.
