Grove Road Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Grove Road Reserve is a fully fenced off-leash dog park on Holmview Road, serving Holmview and the wider Beenleigh area with secure off-lead space split between small and large dogs. It is a practical, well-reviewed local park rather than a showpiece: big open grass, solid fencing, and the essentials handled.

The dog setup

Two enclosures run side by side, one for small dogs and one for the big runners, each entered through double gates. Water points keep bowls topped up, shaded covered tables give owners somewhere to sit, and council-supplied waste bags are usually stocked at the gate, though carrying spares is smart. The off-leash rules are the standard ones: your dog stays under effective control, is never left unattended, and mess gets picked up straight away.

Worth knowing

The reserve sits right beside an active train line. Most dogs tune it out within a visit or two, but noise-sensitive dogs deserve a watchful first session, especially near the gates when a train goes through.

Max: keep an eye on your dog the first few times a train passes. A startled dog near an open gate is the thing to watch for.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Holmview Road with dedicated on-site parking, easy to reach from the M1 at Beenleigh. Beenleigh and Bethania are the nearest train stations, but both leave you with a walk, so driving is the practical choice. The park is open around the clock.

When to go

Weekday mornings and mid afternoons are the quiet stretches. Weekends and the four to six pm weekday window draw the biggest crowds, so shift your visit if your dog prefers room to move.

While you're out there

There is nothing to eat or drink at the reserve itself. Luv a Coffee Beenleigh is the closest coffee stop in town, and Logan River Fenced Large Dog Park adds a second fenced option a few minutes away if your large dog wants a change of scenery.
