Loganholme Dog park

This is the fenced off-leash dog park on Copping Street in Loganholme, an open turf field built for running and fetch rather than agility gear. It sits in the shadow of Alexander Clark Park, the bigger name a few minutes away, and that is precisely its appeal: a quieter, no-frills space for a straightforward off-leash session.

The dog setup

The park is fully fenced with a gated entry and a grass surface, one open field rather than divided enclosures. Shade is limited and water is not guaranteed on site, so bring your own bowl and water, particularly through the summer months. Free street parking sits right outside, which keeps the arrival simple.

Leash status

Dogs run off-leash only inside the fenced boundary and need to stay under effective voice control while they do. Leash up for the arrival and the gate area. Clean up after your dog, and follow Logan City Council's requirements around restricted and dangerous breeds. The space is shared, so keep an eye on any children with you.

Pepsi: no water tap to be relied on here, so the bowl in the boot matters on a Brisbane summer morning. The fence does the hard work otherwise.

Getting there and parking

The park is off Clarks Road via Copping Street in Loganholme, with street parking at the gate. It is a short drive from the Logan Motorway, which makes it a practical stop if you are passing through the area with the dog.

Because it is the low-key option, it rarely gets crowded, which suits dogs that find the bigger parks overwhelming. Aim for early morning or late afternoon; the exposed field holds the midday heat and shade is scarce.
