Yarra Vista Park Fenced Dog Park on Dean Road in Jandakot is a purpose-built off-leash park with double-gated entry and two separate fenced areas, one for large dogs and one for small or timid dogs, set among mature trees for shade.
The rules. Dogs can run off-leash only inside the fenced areas. Keep your dog in sight and under control, and use the double gate system properly so nothing slips out while you're entering or leaving. Bag and bin your dog's waste straight away. Remove a dog from the area if it shows aggression toward others.
What's there. Both fenced sections have agility equipment to keep active dogs occupied, plus drinking fountains and scattered benches for owners. Ground cover is a mix of natural grass and sandy patches under decent tree shade. A separately fenced children's playground sits between the two dog areas, handy if you're bringing the whole family.
Getting there. The park is at 66 Dean Road, reachable from Beeliar Drive or Hammond Road. There's ample free street and verge parking right by the park. Public transport is limited this far out, with the nearest bus routes a short walk away on the main roads.

Nearby with the dogs. Cafes with outdoor dog-friendly seating are a five to ten minute drive away around Cockburn Central, and there are pet-friendly hotel options further out toward Fremantle. Confirm pet policies with any venue before you visit.
When to go. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are quietest if you want the run of the place; weekends and the 5 to 7pm window get busiest with after-work and after-school regulars. Good for dogs that need a properly fenced, secure space to burn energy off-leash.
