Victoria Park Dog Off Leash Area(Frankston)

Victoria Park is a roughly two-hectare open parkland off Nolan Street that runs as a designated free-roam off-leash area. It's valued for the space and shade rather than any enclosure, so it suits dogs with solid recall.

The rules. Dogs can be off-lead within the designated free-roam area. Keep them on-lead within 10 metres of the playground, in adjacent sporting areas and on designated footways. Effective voice control applies throughout, and pick up after your dog.

What's there. Parking sits at both the Williams Street and Nolan Street entrances. There's a small children's playground at the Nolan Street end, park benches, and natural shade from the park's vegetation. There's no fenced enclosure or double-gate entry, so plan for an open space.

Getting there. Reach it via Frankston-Flinders Road, turning into Nolan Street, with on-site parking. It's roughly a 15 to 20 minute walk from Frankston Train Station, and the entrances are wheelchair accessible.

It tends to be busiest on Sunday afternoons and Monday and Friday mornings, and quieter on Sunday evenings, Tuesday evenings and through Thursday, which suits a reactive dog. The ground can get muddy after rain.
