Whistlestop Reserve is a community off-leash spot off Dalpura Circuit, open 24 hours a day. It mixes open grass with upgraded walking paths, so it works for both a steady stroll and a run. The playground is fully fenced but the grass run is not secured from Skye Road, so treat it as a partly fenced space.

The rules. Dogs must be under effective voice control while off-leash, and on-lead on the footways and near the fenced playground. Pick up after your dog and use the provided bins. Because the run isn't fully enclosed, make sure your dog won't chase wildlife toward the road.

What's there. There's a water tap, a roofed shelter for sun or light rain, picnic tables and benches, and the enclosed children's playground. Street parking runs along Dalpura Circuit.

Getting there. Access is via Skye Road, with the main parking off Dalpura Circuit. Buses service Skye Road, and the reserve is walkable from the surrounding residential streets.

Early mornings and the late-afternoon to early-evening after-work window are busiest, when Dalpura Circuit parking can fill. Mid-morning and early afternoon on weekdays are quieter if your dog wants room.
