Albert River Fenced Dog Park

Albert River Fenced Dog Park sits inside the larger Albert River Park in Eagleby, on the riverbank at 35 Distillery Road. It is split into two fully fenced yards, one for small dogs and one for large or medium dogs, and it is free and open around the clock.

The dog setup

Both yards are securely fenced with good natural shade and open grassed ground for running. Water taps are installed on site, but recent visitors have found them running dry or not working, so carry your own bowl and bottle rather than relying on the tap. Off-leash time is confined to the fenced yards; the rest of Albert River Park, including the walking tracks near the fishing pontoons, playgrounds and BBQ areas, stays on-leash. Dogs must be under effective control inside the yards and picked up after, and keep your dog in the yard sized for it rather than mixing sections.

The park is mowed and maintained by Logan City Council and draws a steady local crowd rather than destination visitors. Sundays and weekday evenings are the busiest windows; Thursday evenings and Friday nights tend to be quieter if you have a dog that prefers space. After heavy rain, the riverside ground can turn muddy, so check conditions before promising your dog a clean run.

The address is 35 Distillery Road, Eagleby. On-site parking is available, though the main car park can be a short walk from the fenced yards themselves. The site is considered wheelchair accessible, and the wider park has toilets, electric and wood BBQs and picnic tables if you want to make a morning of it.

Close by with the dogs

Distillery Road Market is close by and takes dogs in its outdoor area, with some tenancies, including Perentie Brewing Co and Factory Direct Cafe, welcoming them inside as well.
